Machine Technician l

Employment Type Temp to Hire, Temp to Permanent Location Yucaipa, CA Shifts 1st: 7am to 3:30pm; 2nd: 3:30pm to Midnight Pay Rate $18-25+ depending on experience; temp to hire Benefits (When Hired) Medical benefits, 401K, PTO Job Duties Perform machining operations on metal and plastic parts according to quality and production standards. Operate machines, including startup, basic controls, lubrication, and material handling. Inspect parts using tools such as microscopes, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring instruments to ensure they meet specifications. Follow basic principles of the quality management system. Read and understand technical drawings, defects, and sorting procedures. Work according to traveler sheets and written work instructions. Complete end‑of‑shift tasks, machine teardown, and housekeeping duties. Follow all safety rules, PPE requirements, and emergency procedures. Job Requirements High School Diploma or GED; technical machining education preferred. 1 year prior experience in a manufacturing environment. Ability to interpret written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively in English. Knowledge of basic shop math. Ability to use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, microscopes). Must be able to push up to 50 lbs., have good eyesight, fine hand dexterity, and distinguish colors. Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment and around loud machinery. Knowledge and Abilities Interprets instructions both written and oral; works in a team environment to resolve work issues; communicates effectively in English. Education and Experience Minimum High School Diploma or GED with a technical education such as a machining school; previous work experience in manufacturing preferred.
