Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Medical Assistant to join their dynamic team. The primary responsibilities include preparing patients for exams, performing phlebotomy, and supporting prescription management. The role also involves ensuring that patient confidentiality and safety standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams by gathering medical history and vitals.
• Perform phlebotomy, urine drug screenings, and CLIA-waived testing.
• Administer injections as per provider direction and training.
• Assist with prescription management and medication counts.
• Support outreach efforts including appointment reminders and patient follow-ups.
• Manage lab and PPE supplies, maintain accurate documentation in the EMR.
• Collaborate with front desk and lab teams to support daily workflow.
• Uphold safety standards, patient confidentiality, and infection control protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, EMT, or LPN program.
• 1+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant and in phlebotomy.
• Willingness to train on injections if not already proficient.

Experience

• 1+ year experience as a Medical Assistant and in phlebotomy.

Skills

• Proficient in EMRs and Microsoft Office.
• Experience in behavioral health, billing, or healthcare settings is a plus.

Additional Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
