Assistant Construction Project Manager

Robert Half is looking for motivated Assistant Project Managers in the Commercial Construction space for our client in the Westfield, NJ area.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with bidding, subcontractor buyout, and contract review processes
• Manage RFIs, submittals, and material procurement tracking
• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring subcontractors stay on track
• Track long-lead items and coordinate schedule impacts
• Review drawing revisions and manage change orders
• Participate in client meetings, OAC meetings, and project update discussions
• Coordinate third-party inspections and punch list completion
• Support project closeout documentation and reporting

Qualifications:

• OSHA 30 certification preferred
• 2+ years of construction industry experience preferred
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field is a plus
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Detail-oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn company-specific software
