Responsibilities Assist the surgical team as the primary scrub person, handling surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment used in a specialized area during procedures. Maintain a sterile field and ensure adherence to aseptic techniques. Continuously monitor and maintain the sterile field throughout the operation. Effectively manage resources such as supplies and equipment. Plan work and complete job responsibilities efficiently and productively. Demonstrate professional work behavior and excellent customer service in all interactions. Perform any other duties as assigned. Education / Formal Training Requirements Required: Technical Degree or Diploma in Surgical Technology. Preferred: Associate’s Degree in Surgical Technology. Licenses and Certifications Requirements Required: Basic Life Support (American Heart Association). Required: Certified Surgical Technologist – National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting. Preferred: Tech in Surgery TS‑C – National Center for Competency Testing. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to perform the essential functions of the job. Ability to communicate verbally with co‑workers, physicians, and other staff. Ability to organize tasks and maintain control of workflow. Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations. Ability to read and follow written instructions. Demonstrate problem‑solving skills related to surgical procedures. Apply principles of sterile technique during procedures. Participate in orientation and training to attain competency in complex cases and achieve LevelII. Demonstrate willingness to learn and practice clinical competencies as a Surgery Tech. Supervision Provided by This Position There are no supervisory or lead responsibilities assigned to this position. Physical Demands The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion. Must have good balance and coordination. The position requires exerting up to 50 lbs of force occasionally and up to 25 lbs of force frequently. The associate must have close visual acuity, including color, depth perception, and field of vision, to perform tasks such as assessing patients and analyzing data. Frequent invasive and non‑invasive patient contact, exposure to patient body fluids and hazardous or poisonous materials, and the ability to react quickly to emergency situations are also required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
