Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient care in a fast-paced environment.

The Emergency Room RN will be responsible for providing high-quality care to emergency patients by utilizing the nursing process in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Utilize the nursing process for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments following established nursing techniques, policies, and procedures.
• Document patient care according to standards of care.
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in consultation with the physician and according to clinic policy.
• Provide instruction and guidance to patients and their families regarding care plans.
• Engage in departmental performance improvement activities, including shared governance.
• Support the execution of patients' longitudinal care plans by collaborating with other units and departments.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to ensure patient safety and enhance the patient experience, escalating concerns appropriately.
• Participate in the professional nursing continuum process and engage in peer review processes.

Qualifications:

• Active RN licensure in the state of Wisconsin.
• Education verification in nursing required.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and either TNCC or TNS.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and under pressure.

Schedule:

This position is for day shifts, primarily 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., with occasional 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. shifts as needed. Weekend rotations are required.
