Senior Sourcing Manager - Metals/Machining (Hybrid),

Stryker seeks a Senior Sourcing Manager for metals and machining commodities to lead supplier performance and strategic sourcing initiatives at its Portage, Michigan location. The role combines tactical and strategic execution in a global, matrixed environment, with focus on supplier alignment, cost optimization, and risk mitigation.
Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing analysis, supplier selection, cost analyses, and make-versus-buy decisions
- Develop and execute contract strategies; negotiate, establish, and enforce supplier agreements
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key suppliers and internal leadership
- Identify supply base risks and develop mitigation plans addressing financial, environmental, and ethical factors
- Collaborate across functions to develop sourcing strategies, supplier scorecards, and conduct business reviews
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in supply management, business, finance, engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of supply management experience with emphasis on strategic sourcing and supplier development
- Strong knowledge of supplier processes and supply chain risk assessment and mitigation
- Advanced negotiation skills for commercial and quality agreements in regulated environments
- Expertise in supplier contract strategy, terms, and administration
- Knowledge of continuous improvement and cost reduction methodologies
- Experience with supplier metrics, measurement systems, and project management
Compensation: $118,000–$196,700 USD annual
