Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production and facility equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role supports equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency through preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Diagnose issues with motors, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and automated machinery.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
• Complete maintenance inspections, repairs, and documentation accurately.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime.
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
• Perform welding, fabrication, and general mechanical repairs as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, Maintenance Technician, or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working with motors, conveyors, pumps, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
• Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
• PLC troubleshooting experience is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

This is a Permanent position based out of Machesney Park, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $66500.00 - $72800.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
