Additional Information About The Role St. Louis Children's Hospital is looking for a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to work at their Specialty Care Center in South County. The SLP will treat pediatric patients with developmental needs, and feeding and swallowing experience with infants is preferred. CEU Budget provided Schedule: 4 10‑hour shifts per week. Role Purpose The Registered Speech Pathologist or Speech Therapist provides skilled speech and swallow therapy services to patients, including all aspects of evaluation and treatment. Responsibilities Establish treatment plan and provide treatment, considering discharge needs, expected discharge functional status, and appropriate equipment and supplies. Educate, collaborate with, and conference with patients, families, and other health care providers; make recommendations for referrals to specialists as needed. Delegate to assistants, techs, and students through written and verbal communication, including determining the skill level or competency required to provide interventions to best meet the needs of the patient. Complete documentation in accordance with departmental policies. Provide assessment, reassessment, and/or consultations for Speech Services.
