ICC Special Inspector

Position Overview This position will perform complex field testing and inspection of construction materials to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications. What you’ll be doing Perform field materials testing of soil, asphalt, and concrete. Prepare detailed and complete field reports with all relevant test results and observations. Perform basic laboratory tests on soil and concrete and prepare reports of results. Evaluate site conditions on construction projects and provide recommendations. Communicate with clients, contractors, and engineering and technician staff regarding construction issues. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent required. ICC Certifications in soils, structural masonry, or reinforced concrete required. Engineers Intern (EI) with at least 1 year of relevant experience. ACI Concrete Field Technician Grade 1. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Strong oral and written communication skills. Attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to lift, push, pull or carry up to 70 lbs. steadily in all weather conditions. Willingness to participate in and pass pre-employment screening including background, drug screening, and driving record.
