Fabrication Operator

Fabrication OperatorWe are seeking a Fabrication Operator to support our shop by operating a CNC plasma cutting table and assisting with material handling and part preparation. This role is focused on production cutting of structural steel components, not precision CNC machining. This is an ideal role for someone with fabrication or shop experience who enjoys hands-on work and working with steel.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate CNC plasma cutting table for plate and structural componentsRun bandsaw to cut structural steel and material to sizeLoad/unload material using overhead cranes and forkliftsVerify material type, thickness, and quantities before processingPerform basic machine setup (zeroing, consumables, etc.)Grind, deburr, and stage parts for fabricationAssist with paint prep and basic painting when requiredMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaCoordinate with fabrication team on priorities and workflowQualificationsExperience in a fabrication shop, warehouse, or production environment preferredForklift experience required (certification preferred)Experience with plasma cutting, saws, or similar equipment is a plus (not required)Ability to read basic drawings or cut lists preferredComfortable working with steel, heavy materials, and shop equipmentStrong attention to safety and reliability
