Description

• Conduct evaluations for patients in pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing standardized assessments and observational strategies.
• Craft individualized treatment plans that cater to both short-term objectives and long-term speech, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions emphasizing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing proficiency.
• Collaborate with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to construct integrated care approaches.
• Supply education to patients and families fostering progress beyond clinical encounters.
• Occasionally assist with inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless care across the patient trajectory.
• Maintain precise and prompt documentation consistent with state, federal, and institutional regulations.
• Stay abreast of developments in the field through continuing education and professional collaboration.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), with ASHA certification to be pursued thereafter.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
