Lab Technician

Job Title : Lab Technician

Location : Houston, TX

Work Model : Onsite

Hours : M-F 8am-5pm

Compensation : $22.00/hr

Type : 9-month contract, Potential for extension or conversion to permanent



Responsibilities

• Testing of coatings.
• Evaluate, collect and record data.
• Participates in organizing and performing experiments using established procedures while summarizing and reporting results in a laboratory notebook.
• Uses a computer to enter data/information including charts and tables for communication of project results/details.
• Involved in making cleaners/pretreatments/paints/coatings from chemical ingredients.
• Tests performance characteristics of coated substrates using established procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related scientific field.
• 1-3 years of relevant industrial laboratory experience.
• Interest in hands-on R&D work in paint and coating lab rather than routine testing.
• Experience with sample preparation and laboratory testing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data management.
