Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position requiring 2 years of experience, Epic proficiency, and a valid LA or Compact RN license.

Details

Hospital ICU setting with a standard 1:2 patient ratio that may flex to 1:3
Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30)
13-week contract
4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule
No on-call responsibilities
Float required to all ICUs and may include floating to the ED or PACU to care for ICU patients; occasional float to MS/PCU units with a 1:4 ratio
EMR: Epic (experience required)
Equipment includes Alaris IV Pumps, CADD PCA pumps, Servo I ventilators, Fresenius CRRT Dialysis machines, Edwards Lifesciences cardiac monitors, Medtronic EVD Management Systems, Arctic Sun TMS, GE Monitors, Hill-Rom Beds, Pyxis Medication Station, and Veratron Bladder Scanner

Requirements

Active LA or Compact RN license required
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Epic EMR experience required
Supervisor reference dated within the last 12 months required for consideration
Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be listed and explained

Additional Information

Nurses are responsible for all lab draws, EKGs, and IV line starts
Must be prepared to care for isolation patients, including COVID-19; candidates should know their N95 mask size
CPI certification can be obtained at the facility for $100 if not already held
RTO is limited to 5 days for the duration of the contract
Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
Former permanent employees of any LCMC facility must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible
