Details Acute care hospital therapy unit Treats patients of all ages Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week One weekend shift required per month No holiday shifts required 13-week contract Uses Epic for clinical documentation Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy required Illinois Physical Therapist License required if applicable BLS certification required (AHA) ACLS and PALS certifications may be required (AHA) New graduates will be considered Experience with screening procedures, outcome measurement, and clinical documentation Experience supervising support personnel such as PTAs and rehab technicians Skilled in patient examination methods and physical therapy diagnosis Additional Information Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients while modifying plans of care as appropriate Serves as a clinical resource and role model for staff and students Designs individualized care plans integrating goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge planning Educates patients, families, caregivers, and other providers using effective teaching methods Utilizes standardized outcome measures to track functional performance Collaborates with patients, families, and the medical team throughout the rehabilitation process Provides supervision and feedback to support personnel in accordance with regulatory guidelines Communicates patient status, progress, and discharge recommendations with the care teamRTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered American Traveler Job ID #P-742463.
