Quality Engineer

Job Description Avanciers Incorporated is hiring a Quality Engineer for one of our clients \n \n Role: Quality Engineer \n Location: Gastonia, NC — Onsite \n Duration: 12 Months \n \n Job Summary \n Seeking a Quality Engineer with experience in material inspection, sheet metal manufacturing processes, and problem solving. The Quality Engineer will perform supplier-site inspections, approve shipments for release, document inspection results, and resolve quality issues involving rejected materials or shipments. \n Key Responsibilities \n \n Perform material inspections at supplier sites and verify materials meet quality requirements. \n Review and approve shipments for release to the Gastonia/Richmond operations. \n Document inspection results, shipment data, photographs, and quality findings. \n Investigate rejected shipments and support root-cause analysis and corrective actions. \n Apply problem-solving techniques to identify and resolve quality issues. \n Review and coordinate quality assurance and quality control requirements. \n Support continuous improvement of quality processes and procedures. \n Work with suppliers, SQE teams, and internal stakeholders to address quality concerns. \n Travel to Richmond, VA, approximately once or twice per month as required. \n \n Required Skills \n \n Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. \n Hands-on material inspection experience. \n Knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing processes. \n Understanding of quality assurance and quality control practices. \n Ability to interpret engineering drawings and quality specifications. \n Strong documentation and communication skills. \n \n Education & Experience \n \n Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. \n 2–3 years of relevant quality engineering or manufacturing experience. \n Experience working with suppliers or in a manufacturing environment is preferred. \n
