Position Summary

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of the community while providing excellent service to residents and guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect resident apartments, bathrooms, public restrooms, lounges, dining rooms, nurses' stations, utility rooms, cottages, and other assigned areas according to established procedures and schedules.
• Remove trash from community areas and dispose of it in designated dumpsters.
• Complete assigned work according to priorities established by supervisors.
• Clean and maintain housekeeping equipment and report repair needs promptly.
• Keep housekeeping carts, closets, and storage areas clean, organized, and fully stocked.
• Follow all infection control and safety procedures.
• Attend required training and educational sessions.
• Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel, healthcare facility, retirement community, or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service and hospitality skills.
• Positive attitude and ability to work well with others.
• Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and stretching.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds independently.
• Ability to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to operate housekeeping equipment, including vacuums.
• Ability to work around cleaning products and chemicals.
• Regular interaction with residents and team members.
