Interns typically  represent  college students trying to gain related work experience while pursuing an undergraduate degree . Under direct supervision, the Business Intern performs various hands-on tasks and assignments supporting the organization's professional staff across Human Resources, Recruiting, General Business Support, Business Development, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) enablement. Minimum/General Experience: No prior professional experience ; must be currently pursuing an undergraduate degree as a Junior or Senior (preferred) Minimum Education: Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in business , information technology or a related field Essential Skills/Qualifications: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Above average knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) Working knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) tools and platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) Ability to conduct research Ability to follow processes and procedures Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Strong attention to detail Strong organizational skills Ability to collaborate and work as part of a team General Physical Requirements needed to perform the essential functions of this job may vary based on the location of the assignment . Assignment Location - Remote Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift , carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Typing, communicating , repetitive motions. Close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data, view computer monitors and read. May need to view presentation screens and other visual aids in a virtual setting. Inside environmental conditions with protection from outside elements. Security: Ability to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) U.S. Ci tizenship or Permanent Resident that has lived in the United States for at least 3 years CUI/PII  Consists of an initial and annual review of up to but not limited to: Covers a 10 year period Credit report check Bankruptcy check Written inquiries to previous employers and references listed on the application for employment Law enforcement check including, federal U.S. District court records, terrorist watch lists, FBI, INTERPOL, etc. County and state court records check Education check Acceptable Credentials Tasks/activities include, but are not limited to: Human Resources Research es and create s monthly employee engagement emails Assist s with the creation of the bi-monthly company newsletter Assist s with preparing, sending, and tracking documents using e-signature tools (e.g., SignNow ) Assist s with annual updates to employee job descriptions Support s salary surveys Support s human resources initiatives Recruiting Support s recruiting calendaring and interview scheduling Prepare s and coordinate s recruiting correspondence Assist s with the creation of employee job descriptions Assist s with the creation of interview screeners and screening questions Assist s with preparing, sending, and tracking documents using e-signature tools Collect s and enter s monthly recruiting metrics data Support s recruiting initiatives General Business Support Develop s , update s , and maintain s templates and/or processes Assist s with document formatting, organization, and file management Support s quality management and corporate infrastructure activities Provide s general administrative support across functional areas as needed Business Development Perform s agency and opportunity research Update s the business development and opportunity pipeline Support s proposal development activities Compile s and organize s keyword and past performance data to support opportunity identification Artificial Intelligence (AI) Enablement Support s the setup, testing, and refinement of AI tools and platforms for company use Develop s and document s prompts, workflows, and best practices for AI-assisted work Create s reusable templates and outputs using AI tools and platforms Assist s staff in adopting AI tools and platforms to improve efficiency and quality Document s lessons learned and maintain s guidance on responsible AI use Compensation & Benefits: We comply with federal and state minimum wage law requirements.
