Seven Healthcare are seeking an experienced RN – Med Surg to join a dedicated healthcare team in New York, NY. This travel assignment requires you to work in a dynamic medical-surgical environment, utilizing your skills and experience to provide exceptional patient care. Familiarity with EPIC EMR is essential for this role.

Key responsibilities of the RN – Med Surg include:

• Develop a plan of care for patients by interviewing them and their families, reviewing health records, and determining required health and physical care.
• Initiate emergency measures such as resuscitation when physicians are unavailable.
• Administer medications and IV therapy as prescribed, and manage respiratory and mechanical ventilation therapies.
• Educate patients and families in preventive, curative, and rehabilitative measures.
• Document observations, interventions, and coordinate activities with other disciplines.
• Evaluate progress towards patient outcomes and update care plans as necessary.
• Organize documentation and delegation of tasks to team members according to care requirements.
• Provide guidance and direction to nursing and support staff.
• Maintain a safe environment and sustain adequate supplies and equipment.
• Demonstrate professional growth and adhere to nursing standards.

Requirements of the RN – Med Surg include:

• RN License
• 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Experience with EPIC EMR
• BLS Certification
