Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse position in a level 3 trauma center. This role involves working four 10-hour daytime shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with a rotating call schedule that includes evenings and weekends. The OR nurse is responsible for providing excellent perioperative patient care within a busy surgical environment, responding promptly to hospital needs, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Job Details

• Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with a 40-hour minimum per week. Call hours are from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. the following day, with one weekend call approximately every 5 weeks from 7:00 a.m. Saturday to 7:00 a.m. Sunday or vice versa.
• Required Qualifications: Valid driver's license or state ID, current licensure as an Registered Nurse (RN), successful UHS Skills Checklist completion, and completion of UHS Submission Packet and Prior Employment Form. No minimum experience required beyond basic licensure.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in an operating room or surgical setting is advantageous.
• Additional Information: The facility is a busy trauma center requiring rapid response within 30 minutes of a call from the supervisor. Orientation for new nurses includes supporting three nurses currently in training. Candidates should be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment and participate in a rotating call schedule.
