Platform Engineer
Nextlex
Design, build, and maintain the foundational platform services that Nextlex engineering teams depend on. This role ensures developers can ship features rapidly while maintaining reliability, security, and scalability across the entire infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain internal platform tooling, SDKs, and developer experience infrastructure.
- Design scalable service architectures and manage service mesh, API gateways, and inter-service communication.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and incident response workflows.
- Collaborate with product engineering teams to improve deployment velocity and system reliability.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in platform, infrastructure, or SRE roles.
- Strong expertise with Kubernetes, Terraform, and at least one major cloud provider (AWS/GCP/Azure).
- Proficiency in Go, Python, or similar systems programming languages.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, networking, and observability.
Preferred Experience
- Experience building internal developer platforms or PaaS solutions.
- Knowledge of service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd).
- Experience with multi-tenant architectures and data isolation strategies.
