Registered Nurse (RN) Behavioral Health

Registered Nurse (RN) Behavioral Health Job Type: Full Time | Days. Sign on Bonus: $10,000. The role supports the 12-bed Behavioral Health Unit, caring for patients aged 55 and older with neurological and behavioral conditions including dementia, acute mental status changes, and Parkinson's disease. Responsibilities Perform plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities. Document patient care provided in a timely and accurate manner. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families. Assist patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation). Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs). Assess learning needs and deliver age‑ and culture‑appropriate patient and family education. Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient. Participate in unit and organizational performance improvement and required continuing education. Provide quality patient care and work other shifts or units as needed; may be assigned on‑call. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Requirements Current State of Tennessee or Multi‑State Registered Nurse licensure. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or RN Diploma in Nursing. BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC), current upon hire. Handle with Care preferred. One year of experience in Geriatric Nursing, preferably in Behavioral Health.
