This candidate can be located in Lexington, Kentucky, Cleveland or Columbus, Ohio, or Nashville, TN.The ideal candidate will have experience inexperience in ancillary structure inspection and ancillary structure design/repairdesign. This position requires the ability to manage projects, liaise with clients and government agencies, and perform both structural inspections and design. This is a great opportunity for a technically driven professional who is looking for career growth.The Project Manager plans, designs, and directs projects by performing the following duties. This candidate must have a Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification.Typical Duties and Responsibilities:- Performs complex engineering computations involving conventional engineering practices.- Demonstrates strong proficiency in computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.- Responsible for projects of varying size and complexity from inception to completion.- Takes an active role in contract negotiations, project planning, project quality, and project profitability.- Oversees project budgets. - Responsible for project schedules and timely completion of projects.- Ensures accurate client billings and monitors outstanding accounts receivable.- Provides leadership in client management, proposal preparation, project scoping and estimating project costs.- Responsible for maintaining meaningful relationships with clients.- Is available to attend meetings or events outside of normal working hours.- Directs and supervises the work of project teams and support staff.- Actively observes and acts in an appropriate manner related to safety.- Ensures that staff needing specialized training in health and safety procedures and practices receives such training and that safety isdiscussed as an important aspect of their work.- This position can require up to 50% travel.Qualifications Education and/or Experience:- Bachelor's degree and/or masters degree in civil engineering from an accredited four-year university.- 5 years or more experience in project management. - Experience in ancillary structure inspection strongly preferred.- Experience in ancillary structure design/repair design a plus.- Must have a Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification.NHI Ancillary Inspection of Highway Inspections Certification 130087 Qualifications: Must have a Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification.Bachelor's degree and/or masters degree in civil engineering from an accredited four-year university.5 years or more experience in project management. 10+ years experience in transportation structure inspection.NHI Ancillary Inspection of Highway Inspections # 130087 Why is This a Great Opportunity: Outstanding culture at this firm which is family owned and cares about it's employees.They leverage decades of hands-on experience to offer design and analysis services to owners and developers.
