Pediatric Dental Assistant

Position Summary: Just 4 Kids Pediatric Dentistry is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our growing team. This full-time role is ideal for a candidate experienced in pediatric dentistry and capable of assisting during in-office general anesthesia procedures . We are looking for a team player who thrives in a fast-paced, child-centered environment and who brings professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail to every patient interaction. Key Responsibilities: Assist pediatric dentists with chairside support during exams, restorative procedures, and general anesthesia cases Set up, sterilize, and break down operatories in compliance with OSHA and CDC infection control protocols Support the anesthesia team during in-office general anesthesia appointments Provide behavior guidance and comfort techniques tailored to pediatric patients Record clinical notes and treatment in Dentrix Patient Management Software Capture diagnostic images, including digital x-rays and intraoral photographs Take impressions and assist with lab case preparation as needed Provide clear, concise pre- and post-operative instructions to parents or guardians Assist in maintaining efficient patient flow and operational readiness Participate in ongoing training and continuing education focused on pediatric care and sedation safety Qualifications: Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent credential required Minimum of 2 years of experience in a pediatric dental office, including GA case support preferred Familiarity with Dentrix Patient Management Software required Valid BLS/CPR certification Radiology certification compliant with Virginia state regulations Strong communication and interpersonal skills Spanish speaking is a plus but not required Experience working with anesthesia providers or in surgical settings is a strong asset Ability to multitask, stay organized, and contribute positively to a collaborative team environment Schedule: Full-time: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Flexibility required on GA days (may begin earlier or extend later than standard hours) Benefits: Competitive compensation based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and observed holidays #J-18808-Ljbffr Just 4 Kids Pediatric Dentistry & Sedation
