PAINTER

Applies industrial finishes to wood or metal products. Knowledge of mill gauges, runs, pin holes, etc. Applies lacquers, stains, powder and other finishes using spray equipment. Ability to mix and match paint, powder & stains. May load/unload, lift, and move material. Prepares and wraps fixtures for shipping. Use of powered hand and table tools may be required. May be trained to act as forklift operator to assist with material movement. Reports any issues to supervisor or higher-level employee. Following instructions based on work instructions. Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies. Comply with company policies and legal guidelines. Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities. Performs any other duties assigned by management. Required Skills/Abilities Ability to read measuring devices and have basic math skills of addition & subtraction. Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions. Ability to work in a variety of roles. Able to work overtime as needed. Education and Experience Preferred 3-6 months experience with industrial/manufacturing painting. High school diploma or equivalent. Physical Demands Prolonged periods standing and walking. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. Must be able to work in a varying temperature in a warehouse environment. Regularly lift, push, pull and/or move up to 50 pounds The employee may be exposed to extreme hot or cold temperatures, heights, and loud machinery or equipment.
