And that’s where you come in.**Job Description:****Hitachi Rail** is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated **Warehouse Keeper** to work on our Honolulu Rail Project. As the successful candidate your ideas for continuous improvement and creativity are welcome. The position is based in **Pearl City,** **HI.****Accountabilities:*** Handles and manages the O&M Organization's entire warehousing and material distribution functions, including the main storeroom, satellite storerooms* Handles physical distribution of material, tools and equipment throughout the Metro system* Receives and inspects incoming and outgoing material, tools and equipment to ensure maximum efficiency and control of inventory assets throughout an MMIS (Maintenance Management and Information System)* Follows implemented procedures to ensure on-time delivery of material based on such factors as systemwide usage, individual storeroom usage, distribution channels, distribution resources and storage requirements.* Maintains receipt inspection procedures to ensure incoming material meets specification requirements.* Coordinate discrepancies with suppliers to ensure maximum benefit and parts availability to the O&M Organization.* Prepares requisitions for stock replacement, repair parts, and tool calibration.* Handle supplies, materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds or more* Conducts physical inventory of supplies, materials, tools and equipment* Complies with all maintenance procedures and instructions including; safety, quality, and environmental procedures* Performs duties as instructed/directed by the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager* The role requires flexibility and efficiency which require shift rotation, weekends and holidays work typical of major infrastructure projects, and operating transit systems* Performs additional cross functional job duties as required* Enhances and maintains positive working relationships with internal customers to maximize operational support, credibility and responsiveness. **Required Skills/ Knowledge:**A minimum of 1 year of experience in warehouse operationsHolder of a valid US state’s driver’s license.**Education:**High School diploma or equivalent**Pay for this position is $26.91 an hour.** **Benefits:** **Hitachi Rail** employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including Competitive Pay, Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance, Short & Long Term Disability, Life & Accident Insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts, a Retirement Savings Plan, and Paid Vacation.
