Data Management and Workflow Solutions Practice Area Manager

Position Overview The Practice Area Manager is part of the Digital Transformation business area’s leadership team at Danovo Energy Solutions. This position is responsible for the Data Management and Workflow Solutions practice area (PA) and has partial P&L responsibility, reporting to the Digital Transformation Business Area Manager (BAM). The primary duty is to provide business and team leadership, ensuring operational excellence by applying technical knowledge of utility‑focused data management, integration, and engineering workflow solutions. As a trusted advisor to customers, the Practice Area Manager interacts with external industry stakeholders and partners closely with our parent company, Quanta Services. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership Lead complex utility data and engineering workflow projects end‑to‑end, ensuring strong outcomes, adoption, and measurable value. Own growth of the practice area through solution design, estimates, proposals, and client relationship leadership. Provide technical leadership and quality oversight for data governance, integrations, and workflow architectures in utility environments, across: GIS and network model data – data integrity, as‑built processes, connectivity consistency, and spatial governance EAM/APM and asset investment data – data collection/monitoring, asset registry alignment, work management integration, and asset health/condition analytics requirements ADMS data dependencies – model alignment, operational data readiness, and change control considerations Protection and control devices configuration management – settings lifecycle, approvals, versioning, auditability, and commissioning traceability Integration and data migration – ETL/ELT design, reconciliation, exception handling, APIs, and event‑based patterns where appropriate Cloud and security fundamentals – secure data handling, environments, logging/monitoring, and access controls Represent Danovo professionally with customers, partners, and industry groups. Team & Delivery Leadership Build, manage, and develop high‑performing teams through clear goals, coaching, and mentorship. Ensure projects are delivered on time, on scope, and on budget, with a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction. Oversee resource planning, utilization, and sustainable workloads. Foster accountability, transparency, and collaboration across teams. Business Development Work directly with customers on delivery and new project acquisition. Promote and deepen Danovo’s service offerings within the utility industry. Support cross‑practice collaboration and provide strategic input on connected initiatives. Represent the company at industry events and forums. Stay informed on market and regulatory trends and share insights internally. Build and execute practice‑area strategy and growth plans. Support succession planning and identify high‑potential talent. Make decisions that support long‑term business growth and align with company vision. Partner with vendors to develop training, demos, and solution accelerators. Stay current on industry and technology trends. Required Qualifications Travel The ideal candidate is willing and able to travel to client locations and industry meetings, typically up to 25% depending on the assignment. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree required in Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related technical field. Advanced degree in Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related technical field preferred. Recognized leadership experience in the electric power and energy consulting industry, including experience with people management. Preferred Qualifications Utility‑focused experience across GIS, EAM/APM, protection & control, project planning, and asset investment platforms (e.g., Esri, Maximo, SAP, Copperleaf, Primavera). Experience with power system analysis tools (e.g., PSS E, PSCAD, ETAP, Aspen, or similar). Ability to apply modern AI tools to improve productivity and solution quality. Proven success in financial management, business development, and organizational leadership. Strong executive presence, with experience engaging C‑suite customers and industry stakeholders. Solid understanding of the utility industry and power/energy markets. Strong communication, conflict management, and collaboration skills. Location Danovo Energy Solutions has offices in Raleigh, NC; Markham, ON; Lombard, IL; and San Clemente, CA. The preferred location for this role is the Raleigh, NC, or Markham, ON office.
