Nuclear Medicine | Erie, Pennsylvania

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to support an imaging team for a 6-week contract assignment, with potential for continuation. This position offers a consistent day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 7:00am to 3:30pm, with no on-call responsibilities, providing a strong work-life balance.


Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Completion of an accredited program in Nuclear Medicine Technology
• Certification by ARRT (Nuclear) or NMTCB is preferred
• Demonstrated competency in standard nuclear medicine procedures
• Experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in a clinical or hospital setting
• Ability to work independently, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• While PET experience is not required, the ability to perform CT would be considered a plus, but is not mandatory

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals as prescribed for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Operate cameras and associated nuclear medicine equipment for imaging studies
• Accurately perform image processing, quality control, and calibration of imaging systems
• Verify patient identification and explain procedures to ensure patient comfort and understanding
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of all exams conducted
• Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all radiation safety and infection control protocols
