Registered Nurse RN Pre-Op PACU at Banner Health Glendale, AZ

Shift Details Employment Type: Full-time. Shift: 3'12" Monday‑Friday day shift. On Call: Yes (4–5 call shifts every 8 weeks). Weekends: Yes. Holidays: Yes. Night shift differential: 18% bonus. Weekend shift differential: $3 per hour. Responsibilities Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs. Formulate a plan of care including discharge plan, integrating assessment data, patient/family input, and medical plan of care. Implement the plan through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of the healthcare team. Evaluate the patient’s and family’s response to care and teaching; revise plan of care as needed. Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record following policies. Provide care based on best evidence; participate in research and clinical practice activities. Engage in unit or facility shared leadership, education, orientation, or mentoring of staff, patients, families, students, or visitors. Contribute to improvement of national nursing quality indicators and outcomes through participation in professional organizations. Supervise staff and workflow as required; interact with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, families, and external contacts; provide spiritual support where appropriate. Minimum Qualifications Current, valid RN license in state of practice (or temporary/interim or compact RN license). BLS certification (required). At least 12 months of RN experience in an acute care setting within the past 12 months (including pre‑op or post‑anesthesia care unit experience). Ability to maintain clinical performance competencies, annual validations. Compliance with required background checks, fingerprint clearance, and criminal history affidavits as applicable to location. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in nursing. Professional certification in relevant specialty. Additional related education and/or experience in preoperative or postoperative nursing.
