Job DescriptionJOB SUMMARY:Reports to maintenance manager and is responsible to rebuild or overhaul all types of production and service equipment in the facility. Be able to work on tasks/projects as assigned by the Maintenance Manager. Must comply with all safety, quality, productivity and housekeeping standards.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Work shift coverage with major repair skills on all production equipment.Responsible for documenting all work performed and maintenance work orders (MWO’s) where necessary.Work with other maintenance, process and production personnel as necessary or directed in problem solving of equipment and production issues.Monitors parts usage and inventory; ensures efficient utilization of materials to minimize waste and production downtime utilizing MRO/JDE/Maintain XAble to fabricate most needed parts or structures using in-house equipment.Responsible for effectiveness of Planned Maintenance Programs on equipmentLead and organize inside and outside resources to implement projects. Assuring projects are completed within preset parameters.Assists in driving safety initiatives and promoting safe behaviors of othersEnsures efficient operation of production equipment based on schedule and process specifications (i.e. line speed, temperature); maintains product quality though established quality systems to ensure conformance to standards; escalates concerns to maintenance lead.All other assignments, general and specific, as directed by ManagerSafety – Responsible for working safely and following all plant safety rules and policies. Reports unsafe conditions. Wears proper attire and all required PPE.In-depth, advanced abilities to, troubleshoot all mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and operational issues such as but not limited to; HVAC, process chilled water systems, heating, automation, extrusion, ECT.Ensure the shop is cleaned and maintained, and work bench is organized.SECONDARY DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITES:This job description reflects the general details considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job identified for the purpose of job evaluation.
