# Travel RN – Perioperative | Pennsylvania
**13-Week Contract | Day Shift | Monday–Friday | No Call**


**Location:** State College, Pennsylvania
⏳ **Contract:** 13 Weeks
**Shift:** 8-hour shifts, variable start between 6:00–7:00 AM
**Schedule:** Monday–Friday
⏱️ **Hours:** 40 hours/week
**EMR:** EPIC
**Call:** None
**Weekends/Holidays:** None


### Requirements
* Active Pennsylvania RN License
* Minimum **3 years of RN experience**
* Perioperative/PeriOp experience
* **BLS, ACLS & PALS**
* Strong IV therapy and patient assessment skills
* Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills
* Ability to work across perioperative areas, including PACU when assigned


### Key Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive preoperative and postoperative nursing care
* Assess physical, psychosocial, and spiritual patient needs
* Admit and prepare patients for surgical procedures
* Verify documentation, site marking, orders, and surgical readiness
* Provide patient and family education
* Administer IV therapy and medications as appropriate
* When assigned to PACU, monitor airway, vital signs, pain, and recovery status
* Assist with pain management and eye laser procedures
* Assist with anesthesia supplies and nerve blocks
* Support patient transfers to the medical center when needed
* Float between areas to maintain patient flow and provide staff support
* Maintain accurate EPIC documentation and follow safety/infection-control standards


### Assignment Details
* 13-week contract
* Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts
* Start time varies between 6:00–7:00 AM
* No weekends
* No holidays
* No call
* W-2 employment; 1099 not accepted
* No mileage reimbursement
