Medical Science Liaison - Cardiovascular Metabolic - Upstate New York

Medical Science Liaison position based in Upstate New York focusing on cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. The role involves engaging with healthcare opinion leaders and payers to communicate clinical data, support formulary committees, and advance Amgen's scientific platform through field-based medical engagement.
Responsibilities
- Engage with cardiometabolic opinion leaders and healthcare decision-makers to communicate clinical and scientific data
- Educate payers, providers, and formulary committees on clinical value, outcomes, and economic data
- Provide medical support to payers, IDNs, and serve as main contact for prioritized accounts
- Develop and implement scientific engagement and opinion leader plans aligned with annual goals
- Support Amgen-sponsored research, speaker training, and congress activities
Requirements
- Doctorate degree, or Master's degree with 3+ years Medical Affairs experience, or Bachelor's degree with 5+ years Medical Affairs experience
- PharmD, PhD, MD, or DO preferred
- 5+ years industry experience in Scientific or Medical Affairs at biotech or pharmaceutical company
- Two or more years clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research experience
- Cardio-metabolic expertise preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work cross-functionally
