We are seeking PilatesMat Fitness Instructors (spots for Classic Mat Pilates and Sculpt Variations) to join our New York City Studio (West Harlem and Upper West Side). As an Instructor will lead classes ensuring that people of all fitness levels are able to participate. Set sequences will be given upon hiring, but we encourage our Instructors to add their our sequences once established. Your goal is to help our UpDog clients reach their fitness objectives and have fun while doing it! Our ideal candidate is a positive, engaging Instructor with a passion for fitness. Classes we are Hiring For
Tuesday - Friday Mornings 6:00am - 11:00am
Wednesday Evening 7:30pm
Saturday 1:15pm
Sunday Morning 10:15am
Sub Classes Available Responsibilities
- Lead a class size of 15-28 clients
- Develop classes that are physically challenging, while keeping students engaged and safe (modifications encouraged)
- Encourage students to continue with their pursuit of exercising and help them make good health decisions
- Promote Studio programs, classes, and memberships
- Pilates Certification Required
- Early Mornings (6am - 10am) and Weekend Availability is preferred, but not limited too.
- Knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics is preferred
- Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills
