Principal Specialist, SecurityThe Principal Specialist, Security will support the Tucson Production Program Security Team in the execution and oversight of security requirements supporting classified manufacturing, critical munitions production, and Special Access Programs (SAPs).This position will provide day-to-day operational security support, assist with coordinating security activities across multiple programs, and ensure compliance with U.S. Government, contractual, and RTX security requirements.The selected candidate will work closely with the Security Manager, exercising independent judgment, providing technical guidance to security personnel, and maintaining operational continuity during the manager's absence within delegated authority.The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to balance security compliance with production requirements in a dynamic manufacturing environment.What You Will DoSupport the Security Manager in coordinating daily security operations across Tucson production facilities and assigned classified programs.Implement and maintain compliance with applicable security requirements, including 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM), DoDM 5205.07, DoDM 5105.21, JSIG, ICD-705, and applicable government and RTX directives.Provide technical guidance and operational support to security personnel, assisting with workload coordination, training, and consistent execution of security procedures.Serve as the designated operational point of contact during the Security Manager's absence, within delegated responsibilities and established authorities.Collaborate with program management, factory leadership, engineering, cybersecurity, facilities, and government representatives to resolve security concerns and support production objectives.Support personnel security processing, SAP nominations, indoctrinations, debriefings, access management, and maintenance of applicable government and RTX security databases.Assist with physical security requirements, facility inspections, accreditation activities, and security readiness in accordance with ICD-705 and applicable program requirements.Support security incident reporting, compliance reviews, risk assessments, corrective actions, and development of Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).Develop, review, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Job Operating Instructions (JOIs), and process improvements to enhance security compliance and operational efficiency.Support security requirements associated with classified hardware movement, manufacturing activities, facility modifications, and production access controls.Coordinate with ISSMs, ISSOs, and cybersecurity personnel on applicable JSIG requirements and security controls.Support executive visits, customer engagements, government inspections, and other mission-related security activities.Travel between Tucson-area Raytheon facilities and other U.S. locations as required.Qualifications You Must HaveTypically requires a bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience in industrial, physical, or program security; or an advanced degree and 3 years of related experience.Experience supporting classified DoD programs, interpreting contractual security requirements, and implementing government security policies and procedures.Experience working with NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117), DoDM 5205.07, and applicable Special Program security requirements.Experience supporting personnel security, classified operations, security inspections, incident reporting, and corrective actions.Experience with Microsoft ProductsQualifications We PreferProven ability to independently resolve complex security challenges, coordinate across functional organizations, and support operational priorities with minimal supervision.Extensive experience supporting SAPs, classified manufacturing, critical munitions production, or multi-program security operations.Advanced knowledge of DoDM 5105.21, JSIG, ICD-705, SAPNP, JADE, DISS, and DD Form 254 requirements.Experience with secure facility accreditation, classified hardware accountability, factory access controls, and government inspections.Demonstrated experience developing SOPs, Job Operating Instructions, POA&Ms, and security process improvements.Previous experience serving as a CPSO, CSSO, senior security specialist, technical lead, or alternate security representative.What We OfferOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
