Director of Housekeeping

Description Ensuring the highest levels of cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and conduct are maintained throughout the resort at all times. Recruiting, training, coaching, onboarding, and counseling housekeeping team members, following company, state, and federal regulations. Managing finances of housekeeping operations, including budget and inventory controls in relation to the budget. Planning, organizing, and monitoring all aspects of the Department while working closely with the Director of Housekeeping. Performing reviews of the department, purchasing, reordering, and maintaining supplies/inventory. Evaluating and reporting maintenance issues related to the condition of furniture, fixtures, and equipment. Managing service metrics related to areas of control (e.g., guest service scores and TripAdvisor). Delegating duties and projects with consistent follow-up. Maintaining a clean and organized work area. Resolving guest complaints or issues promptly, and recording, storing, and disposing of all lost and found items in guestrooms. Reporting unsafe work conditions to the Resort Manager or General Manager. Knowledge of OSHA and safety standards within the housekeeping department. Performing other duties as assigned by the Director of Housekeeping, Resort Manager or GM.
