Travel Physical Therapist – Columbia, Tennessee Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist for a 13‑week travel assignment in Columbia, Tennessee. Start date: ASAP. 8‑hour shifts, 40 hours per week. Specialty: Physical Therapy Discipline: Therapy Employment Type: Travel/PT Company: Fusion Medical Staffing Location: Facility in Columbia, Tennessee Required Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in physical therapy Existing Physical Therapy experience (New Grads welcome) Other certifications or licenses may be required Summary The Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. The role requires strong clinical skills, effective communication, critical thinking, and a commitment to high‑quality, safe patient care. Essential Work Functions Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, examinations, and patient history. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement treatment plans using exercise, manual therapy, modalities, and equipment. Operate and maintain physical therapy equipment safely. Assess patient progress, adjust plans, and document interventions accurately. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other professionals for coordinated care. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management. Maintain a safe treatment environment and adhere to infection control protocols. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities. Assist in discharge planning for smooth transitions. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
