Job Summary and Qualifications The Pharmacy Intern is a student who works in pharmacy to gain hands‑on experience. These individuals work under the supervision of licensed pharmacists and hospital pharmacy managers to ensure that they are performing their job duties correctly. Responsibilities Under direct supervision of a pharmacist, fill medication orders, prepare routine compounds and solutions (sterile and non‑sterile), pre‑package medications. Stock and maintain supplies in assigned work area; prepare and file documents and other records. Operate computer and answer telephone/window as needed. Perform duties of a pharmacist in accordance with rules and regulations of the State Board of Pharmacy. Autonomy progresses with each year of education. Qualifications Currently enrolled in an accredited School of Pharmacy, preferably 1st or 2nd year. Pharmacy intern registration with the State Board of Pharmacy required.
