Part Time Seasonal Staff Location: Rhinebeck, NY, US. Part of Omega’s seasonal staff—late May to late September—requires residency in a tent on campus and a minimum commitment of four consecutive weeks. Job Description Part‑time, non‑exempt; 21‑28 hours per week, average 21‑28. Reports to the Assistant Director of People & Culture and relevant department supervisors for shift assignments. Essential Functions Complete weekly hours: 21 minimum to 28 maximum; maintain accurate record of assigned days/hours. Attend staff meetings when applicable. Report to shifts on time. Work various departments—Dining Hall, Housekeeping, Dishwashing, Campus Support, Production, Garden, Main Office, etc.—flexibly as needs arise. Follow directions and adapt to different management styles, team dynamics, independent work, and scheduling. Wear required attire: Omega‑provided staff shirt, slip‑proof shoes, closed‑toe shoes, rain gear, warm layers. Perform additional duties as directed by supervisor. Reside in tenting area on campus (own tent ≤10×10), platform tarped for rain; participate in transition days and split shifts as necessary. Operate a motor vehicle when required. Physical Requirements Work in outdoor weather conditions occasionally. Pick up and move items weighing 30‑50 pounds frequently. Remain stationary 50% of time. Traverse a hilly campus in diverse weather conditions. Position self to perform diverse job tasks. Communicate effectively to ensure accurate information exchange. Maintain alertness and safety. Observe details at close range. Required Experience & Qualities Timely, reliable, and service‑oriented. Excellent interpersonal skills. Team player. Able to receive direction and self‑motivate. Valid Driver’s License. Alignment with Omega’s Mission, Goals and Core Values. Compensation Position runs mid‑May through late September; compensation at minimum equivalent to New York State minimum wage.
