Die Cutter Operator
A leading specialty packaging manufacturer is seeking an experienced Die Cutter Operator to join their production team. The ideal candidate brings hands-on die cutting experience, a sharp eye for quality, and a commitment to safe, efficient operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and adjust die cutting equipment to produce packaging components within specification
- Perform makeready and changeovers between job runs with minimal downtime
- Conduct in-process quality inspections for dimensional accuracy, cut quality, and registration
- Monitor machine performance and make real-time adjustments to maintain production output and quality
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and assist with minor mechanical troubleshooting
- Maintain accurate production records and communicate downtime or defect issues to supervisors
- Adhere to all safety protocols, 5S standards, and GMP requirements on the production floor
Requirements
- 1+ years of die cutting operation experience in a packaging, printing, or manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret job tickets, machine settings, and quality specifications
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort making hands-on machine adjustments during production
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Availability to work assigned shift in Peachtree City, GA
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with rotary or flatbed die cutters in a folding carton or corrugated environment
- Familiarity with specialty carton or packaging production processes
- Experience in a lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environment
- Forklift certification a plus
