We're looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant who is dedicated to helping patients. You will work with people who have mobility issues after surgery or an injury and help them develop a treatment plan. In this role, you'll be responsible for creating personalized health and fitness plans for patients while also providing them with physical therapy to alleviate pain and improve mobility. 

Our ideal candidate will have experience with a wide range of patient issues and will also be up-to-date on the most recent developments in treatment. Compensation:

$35 - $40 hourly

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate records of patient treatment and follow all applicable policies and procedures
• Consult and collaborate with other healthcare professionals
• Review the data gathered from the patient's tests and examinations, then make recommendations based on your findings
• Utilize physical therapy on patients to ease discomfort and increase mobility as prescribed by doctor
• Consult with patients to learn about their physical condition including mobility issues or injuries

• Provide physical therapy services to patients in their homes under the supervision of the Physical Therapist
• Implement treatment plans established by the supervising PT
• Assist patients with exercises to improve strength, mobility, balance, and endurance
• Monitor patient progress and report any changes to the supervising PT
• Document patient visits and treatment notes accurately and in a timely manner
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and fall prevention
• Maintain compliance with home health regulations and agency policies

Qualifications:

• Must pass the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE)
• This position requires a bachelor’s degree or higher and a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)
• This position requires excellent analytical skills, communication skills, and observational skills
• Some experience working in a healthcare facility or clinic with patients is preferred
• Must have a current state license to practice in the state you reside in

• Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Michigan

• Home health experience preferred but not required

• Strong clinical and communication skills

• Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage a flexible schedule

• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license

• Current CPR certification
