Used Vehicle Coordinator

The Used Vehicle Coordinator will be a corporate position with responsibility for the used vehicle operation at all Uftring dealerships. This will include advising and helping manage the used vehicle inventory, sourcing and securing inventory for sale, and transfer units between Uftring facilities to achieve adequate return on investment for all locations.

This position has an expected annual salary of $50,000 with additional commission and monthly bonuses!

Responsibilities:

• Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them
• Strive for harmony and teamwork with all dealership management
• Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect sales
• Purchase and assist in purchasing used inventory utilizing on-line and in person auctions
• Develop a team of buyers to keep a steady stream of used inventory coming in
• Consult with used vehicle managers on purchasing and train and develop their purchasing skills using data
• Consult dealership managers on proper model mix and inventory controls to maximize turn and gross
• Maintain inventory of used vehicles with a proper mix at all locations
• Direct responsibility for all wholesale vehicles and mediums used to liquidate
• Determine proper placement of vehicle to maximize opportunity
• Attend auctions weekly
• Coordinate special sales with auction designed for Uftring Auto Group exclusivity
• Attend Ad/Marketing meetings, DOC meetings, and General Managers meetings as scheduled and bring ideas
• Utilize the data we have to maximize turn
• Secure drivers to move inventory
• Hold the stores accountable to acceptable gross per unit
• Advise on lot display at each retail location in the organization
• Advise dealership managers on current values of used vehicles and help with appraisals as necessary
• Maintain focus on aged inventory for each dealership and institute and monitor each dealerships aged inventory and work to dispose of overage vehicles
• Monitor Days to Lot and Recon process through each of the stores
• Build a sustainable Used vehicle Acquisition strategy to maximize customer trade ins, service drive acquisition, and private party purchases to reduce reliance on auctions
• Monitor all third-party providers and vendors to ensure merchandising is on par
• Work directly with used vehicle managers and GSMs to develop and grow our bench
• Fill in for General Manager, Sales Manager and F&I when needed

Qualifications:

• Two years minimum previous sales experience
• Two years minimum Finance experience
• Proven leadership experience
• Strong financial acumen
• Data driven
• Approachable
• Valid Illinois Drivers license with an acceptable driving record
• Neat, professional appearance
• Excellent communication skills by phone, email and text
• Fluid on Inventory management and similar computer-based vehicle inventory pricing programs and CRMs
• Previous wholesale or auction experience a plus
• Must be fluid on computer skills and understand used vehicle marketing on internet

Hours:

Monday, Wednesday and Thursday: 8:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Tuesday and Friday: 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Saturday: 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Day off will be either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday
