About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent Medical Surgical experience License: Active state or compact license required Certifications: AHA BLS required Must-Have: Must have a minimum of 2 years recent Medical Surgical experience. Must have active state or compact license at time of submission. Previous travel experience is strongly preferred. Description: Unit sees a wide variety of Medical Surgical patients. The broader the candidates' Medical Surgical experience, the better. Patient types include Med-Surg, Sickle Cell, heart failure, vascular, pulmonary, diabetes, and failure to thrive. The manager is looking for dedicated Medical Surgical professionals. The weekend requirement is 6 weekend shifts per 12 weeks, on Saturday and Sunday. Weekend shifts may or may not be together. Nurse to patient ratios are 5-6 to 1. The charge nurse takes assignment. Nursing aides are on the unit with a 12 to 1 ratio. Respiratory therapy equipment includes nasal cannulas, face masks, and BiPAP. Candidates should expect a call from an area code specific to the facility.
