SUMMARY Performs maintenance, inspection and repair to facilities and general infrastructure including, but not limited to: building, grounds, machinery, vehicles and ground equipment with limited supervision. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform building repair and maintenance, including carpentry, drywall, plumbing, minor HVAC and painting tasks. Refresh and remodel workspaces, offices and restrooms; this included the ability to finish drywall, install flooring / carpeting and finishing trim. Perform lawn and landscape improvements and maintenance. Perform preventative maintenance and / or repair tasks relating to vehicles and support equipment including golf carts, forklifts and tractors and mowers. Perform preventative maintenance and / or repair tasks relating to aerospace ground equipment, maintenance stands and industrial machinery. Prepare facilities and grounds for inclement weather; remove water / snow, as needed. Maintain tools and equipment and keep supplies and parts in order. Report any machinery, equipment, and tools that are required for efficient production. Perform inspections of fire extinguishers and related safety equipment. Operate floor scrubber and clean hangar floors as needed. Move heavy furniture, equipment or supplies, manually or using hand-trucks. Set up, arrange or remove decorations, tables, chairs to prepare facilities for events. Fill in for custodial staff as needed; tasks include general cleaning, dusting, vacuuming and garbage collection / removal from restrooms, work areas and office spaces. Maintain a safe and clean working environment in accordance with company standards. Ensure efficient and economical utilization of materials and the elimination of wasteful practices within the area. Follow written and verbal instructions. Complete initial / recurrent training requirements in a timely manner. Other duties may be assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Assist the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor or Facilities Maintenance Lead in providing training and general mentorship to the Facilities Maintenance team. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES The individual employed in this position is expected to dress appropriately (determined by area in which their work is performed), report to work on time, have excellent work habits, and have a cooperative and positive attitude in the work setting; exhibits respect and professionalism when interacting with customers, and all employees; must adhere to company policies, procedures and safety standards. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent reading, writing and math abilities. 5+ years of experience in General / Facilities Maintenance Work. Welding proficiency and experience preferred. Proficient in the use of basic hand tools. Ability to work independently or as a member of a team. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task. Ability and willingness to work extended hours, when needed. LANGUAGE SKILLS Read, write, and understand the English language. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Ability to obtain a US Department of Transportation examiners certificate, if required.
