Marine Structural Engineer

To Learn More Visit: Essential Duties and Responsibilities Structural design, coastal design, geotechnical investigation, and site layout; Prepare foundation and pile design as well as ground improvement recommendations; Developing engineering solutions to challenging structural and geotechnical problems and site conditions; Coordination and support with marine and geotechnical team on projects; Oversee waterfront structure and marine infrastructure projects; Design and engineering for a variety of areas such as harbors, marinas, vessel mooring and berthing structures, bulkheads and seawalls, breakwaters and shore protection structures, shoreline stabilization and sediment management; Development and management of instrumentation monitoring systems; Small project/task management and proposal preparation support; Preparation of engineering reports, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and permit applications; and Attend meetings with clients and regulatory authorities. Education and Licensure Bachelor's degree in civil and/or structural engineering. (required) Advanced degree in civil or structural engineering. (preferred) Skills, Experience and Qualifications At least 5 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required) Experience with engineering structural analysis software such as AUTOCAD, SAP2000, HILTI, ALLPILE, STAAD Pro, MATLab, SWAN, SBEACH, MIKE21, and Plaxis. (2D/3D). (preferred) Strong oral and technical writing skills. (required) Familiarity with international structural design standards including Eurocode and British Standards.
