Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full‑time Speech Language Pathologist for a caseload within Barbour County School District. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in student success by evaluating and diagnosing speech and language disorders, developing individualized therapy plans, collaborating with educators and families, supporting classroom carryover of communication skills, maintaining student records, and helping students reach their maximum academic and social potential. Evaluate and diagnose speech and language disorders. Develop and implement individualized education plans to meet the unique needs of each student receiving therapy service. Develop appropriate service delivery models to meet the needs of students. Refer students to other professional and community agencies. Consult with classroom teachers and other school personnel to facilitate carry‑over therapy gains into classroom activity. Provide information, support, and guidance to parents/guardians and families. Assist teachers in the identification of children with communicative disorders. Maintain records for students evaluated and receiving services. Inform administrators and other members of the educational team of program developments and student progress. Engage in personal professional growth and demonstrate professional ethics and leadership. Coordinate services with other school programs. Demonstrate proficiency in written and oral communication. Adhere to school system rules, administrative procedures, local board policy, and state and federal rules and regulations. Perform other related duties as assigned. What We’re Looking For Active (or eligible) Alabama State SLP license Alabama Professional Educator Certificate with endorsement in Speech Language Pathology.
