Description

Imagine yourself working on the line in a busy cafpreparing fresh food, working alongside a supportive kitchen team, and taking pride in every plate that leaves the kitchen. The Plateau Travel Plaza is opening soon, and we are building a strong culinary team to support Three Teepees Caf in our newly remodeled and expanded property.

We are currently seeking a Line Cook to help prepare quality meals in a fast?paced, team?oriented kitchen. This full-time position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands?on work, thrives during busy service times, and takes pride in preparing food that keeps guests coming back.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
• Set up and stock cooking stations with necessary supplies
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cooking line
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and safety procedures
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service
• Monitor food quality, portion sizes, and presentation
• Assist with cleaning duties at the end of shifts
• Support a positive and respectful kitchen environment

Benefits, Compensation, & Perks

The starting wage for a Line Cook is $18.00 per hour, depending on experience (DOE), plus a shift differential for non?standard hours, ranging from an additional $0.50 to $2.50 per hour, depending on the shift worked.

Qualifications

A few qualities we're looking for:

• Previous cooking or kitchen experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast?paced kitchen environment
• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices (or willingness to learn)
• Comfortable standing, walking, lifting, and performing physical tasks throughout a shift
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Availability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to pass a criminal history background check and pre-employment drug testing
• Must be 18 years of age or older
