Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery department is seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse II in the Nights shift to join the organizations healthcare team. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care within the maternity setting, including antepartum and postpartum care, to women across various age groups. The Clinical Nurse II will practice independently, demonstrating expertise in patient-centered care, safety, evidence-based practice, and teamwork, while collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications:
  • Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics
  • Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification through AWHONN
  • Minimum of three years of recent Labor and Delivery (L&D) and antepartum experience
  • Proficient in the operation of clinical equipment and technology within the practice setting
  • Knowledge of the California Nurse Practice Act and organization policies
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Highly preferred high-risk antepartum experience
• Additional Information:
  • The role involves guiding and assisting unlicensed assistive personnel as defined by relevant professional standards and policies.
  • The Clinical Nurse II will evaluate and integrate evidence-based practices, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and engage in patient education on topics such as advanced care planning and end-of-life care.
  • The position demands a focus on safety, risk minimization, and system effectiveness, with active participation in error analysis and system improvements.
