Must-Have: No requested time off (RTO) in the first two weeks of assignment. All RTO must be presented prior to offer. Pending Michigan license acceptable. Concrete estimated time of arrival (ETA) required at submission and proof of application needed. Holidays are required.

Description: The position requires a Registered Nurse to work in a mixed patient population of ICU and PCU. The ICU is staffed with a 1:1-4 patient ratio based on acuity. Patients may include those with COPD, Encephalopathy, Drug Overdose, DKA, AKI, Respiratory Failure, Cardiac Arrest, Heart Failure, and A-fib. Special procedures performed include CRRT, HD, A-Line placement, CVC Placement, trach placement, and chest tube placement. Equipment includes Cooling Machines, Bair Huggers, and CRRT. Required skills include cardiac monitoring and emergency response, IV therapy administration, and interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Experience in managing chronic and acute renal failure, blood product administration, and ventilator management is essential. The ICU maintains an average of three ventilated patients per day. Interdisciplinary support services such as Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Social Services are available. Staff will float to other ICU and Med-Surg units as needed. Weekend work is required every other weekend. References must be supervisor level.
