PRN Registered Nurse (RN)

GENERAL FUNCTION:

The Registered Nurse provides skilled nursing care to patients in their homes, ensuring care plans are followed and clinical standards are maintained.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conducts patient assessments and develops individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians.
• Provides direct skilled nursing services including wound care, IV therapy, and medication administration.
• Supervises LPNs and Home Health Aides to ensure delivery of quality care.
• Documents all patient visits, interventions, and outcomes accurately and promptly.
• Educates patients and families on disease processes, medications, and self-care techniques.
• Participates in case conferences and interdisciplinary care planning.
• Responds to changes in patient condition and communicates promptly with physician and DON.
• Ensures compliance with agency policies, state, and federal regulations.

We are seeking candidates to PRN needs assisting multiple clients in their homes throughout Evansville and Newburgh. 

KNOWLEDGE AND REQUIRED TRAINING:

Must be a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Indiana. Requires knowledge of home health regulations, Medicaid/Medicare guidelines, and electronic medical record systems. Strong clinical and leadership skills are essential.

PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

Maintains effective communication with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members. Provides guidance and support to LPNs and Home Health Aides.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to lift and move patients as necessary. Requires driving to patient homes and performing care tasks that may involve bending, lifting, and prolonged standing.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is primarily in patient homes with occasional office duties. Exposure to infectious diseases may occur.
