This is where cutting-edge hardware meets real-world impact at scale.We’re looking for a Senior Systems Software Engineer to help architect and scale the software backbone that connects the physical world to accelerated computing.This is not just a systems role—this is where hardware, networking, and GPU computing converge to power the next generation of robotics, healthcare devices, and industrial AI systems.What you'll be doing:Design and build high-performance, low-latency data pipelines from sensors to GPU memory (RDMA, Ethernet, GPUDirect)Develop and optimize system software, drivers, and APIs for sensor integration and streamingWork across the stack—from FPGA interfaces and networking protocols to CUDA and application frameworksEnable seamless integration of diverse sensors into the Holoscan ecosystemDebug and optimize real-time distributed systems under strict latency and throughput constraintsCollaborate with hardware, firmware, and AI teams to deliver end-to-end solutions and Contribute to a platform that reduces sensor integration complexity by orders of magnitudeWhat we need to see:A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (BS or MS) or equivalent experience.8+ years of experience in systems programming (C/C++/Python) and Linux internalsDeep understanding of networking (TCP/UDP, RDMA, kernel bypass, high-throughput systems)Experience with real-time operating systems or low-latency systemsFamiliarity with hardware/software interfaces (PCIe, DMA, FPGA, SPI, I2C, I2S)Solid debugging skills across complex, multi-component systemsExperience working close to hardware and performance bottleneckSolid understanding and hands-on experience with AI coding tools such as Claude, Codex and Cursor, including automating software development lifecycle activities.Ways to stand out from the crowd:Experience with CUDA / GPU programmingKnowledge of sensor pipelines (camera, radar, RF, medical imaging, IMU sensors)Exposure to distributed systems or edge computing platformsBackground in robotics, healthcare devices, or high-speed data acquisitionFamiliarity with agentic AI tooling, and experience applying multi-agent systems to engineering workflowsWith competitive salaries and a generous benefits package, we are widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers.
