What You'll Do

• Provide expert nursing care for pediatric patients in the PICU, including those with MS, DKA, sepsis, respiratory failure, and post-surgical neuro or ortho cases
• Titrate medications such as pressors, insulin, heparin, and sedation agents
• Collect peripheral blood draws and assist with central line management
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including intensivists, hospitalists, RTs, and resource nurses
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech Expanse EMR
• Support patient recovery and comfort through wound care, drains, and wound vac management
• Float to adult ICU or Med/Tele, based on skillset and approval

What You Need

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or ability to obtain
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
• At least 2 years PICU experience
• PIV, CVL, telemetry, wound care, drains, and wound vac skills
• Comfort with titrating pressors, insulin, heparin, and sedation agents

• Cross-trained in adult ICU or Med/Tele
• NRP certification
• Experience with Meditech EMR
